I’m keeping you in the loop as promised, with two rather major announcements for the Golden Visa program here in Portugal.

Qualify for the Golden Visa now with as little as €375,000 (including fees).
Investors now have the option to invest in a qualifying company/job creation, with a capital outlay of just €375,000, or into a qualifying fund with as little as €399,000. Qualifying investments with an upfront return are hard to come by, but if you can find one, it can be an advantage, especially when having to sell other assets to gather the investment capital.
We look for reputable investment providers throughout Portugal, with the assistance of the country’s leading law firms, giving you access to the leading investment options for the Golden Visa.
Qualifying options with incentives such as a fixed return, guaranteed buyback, upfront interest payments, and no fees, etc., are subscribed quickly. Please let me know if you would like to be notified of such investment options that become available.

Investing via an IRA
Of late, it has been a common problem for my US clients to invest for the GV without facing significant taxes and withdrawal costs when using their retirement accounts to finance the investment.
In short, we now provide a service dedicated to our US clients, allowing the GV investment to remain within your retirement structure for US tax purposes. This is a groundbreaking solution, already saving some of our clients more than €100,000 (compared to withdrawing from retirement accounts).
Although the process takes a little longer, monies from a 401(k) and IRA can be used towards this, potentially allowing for significant tax savings. The process is approved by the IRS and the local laws here in Portugal.
